Show Notes

Inclusion can take many forms and shapes. The world of work is one of them and an important one. COVID-19 crisis has changed the way we work and where we work. These trends will inevitably change the way the cities and territories are planned and built in the future. Therefore, discussing the meaning, opportunities and challenges related to inclusion in the world of work is of crucial importance when considering inclusive urban futures.

In this episode, we speak with Christel Adamou (MBA, LLM, MAs) the Director of the Office of Professional Conduct at the Asian Development Bank (ADB). We explored many critical issues related to the future of inclusion and diversity in the work environment including: the rise of remote work and telework, accelerated digitalization of recruitment in the view of COVID-19. But most importantly, we had the opportunity to discuss the differences in understanding diversity and inclusion across cultures and geographies as well as the importance of defining and communicating values and goals to move from diversity and inclusion to the concept of belonging.
